By trade Calvin is an MRI technologist at UT Carthage Hospital. Calvin was called to vocational ministry as a late bloomer in 2014 while on a mission trip to Africa. Just as he and his wife, Amy, had become empty nesters, he surrendered to attend seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth in January, 2015. That same month, FBC Rusk ordained Calvin as a minister. In December, 2020 he received his Master of Divinity in Evangelism at SWBTS.
He and his lovely wife, Amy, were married on December 29, 1990.
They have 5 children: Calvasha, Mikala, Caleshia, Caleb and Sarah; 3 Sons-in-law: Lance, Donny and Colton; and 6 grandchildren: Jackson, Samson, Harrison, Charlotte, Francis and Donny Ray
Calvin has a passion for the lost and longs to make disciples. His passion has led him to Europe and Africa many times on mission sharing the Gospel. He desires to shepherd Glenfawn church well and see many more come to Christ.
